Local Love for Listowel – We’re All In!

We recently made a donation to the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation—because keeping great healthcare close to home just makes sense.

From stitches to checkups (and everything in between), this hospital is there when we need it most. And now, we’re doing our part to help make sure it stays strong, well-equipped, and ready for anything.

It’s our way of saying thanks to the incredible staff, volunteers, and everyday heroes who keep Listowel and surrounding area healthy.

Here’s to hometown care, community spirit, and lending a helping hand. 💙🙌

We made a donation to the Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation—because supporting local healthcare is always a win.

Whether it’s a broken bone, a flu bug, or just peace of mind, this hospital is here for us. And now, we’re doing our part to be there for them. Our contribution helps fund life-saving equipment and care, right where we live.

From hockey goal donations to Lions Club bingo jackpots, it’s clear: this community shows up—and we’re proud to be part of that team.

Let’s keep building strong, healthy roots in Mount Forest.

At Wightman, community isn’t just part of what we do—it’s who we are. That’s why we’re proud to support the Hanover & District Hospital Foundation (HDHF) and the amazing work they’re doing to keep our community healthy, supported, and thriving.

Let’s face it: hospitals are the heart of our towns. And when you need care, you want to know your local hospital has the tools and support it needs to deliver. That’s where the HDHF comes in—raising critical funds to keep equipment up to date and care close to home.

Did you know? Patient visits to Hanover & District Hospital are up 31% from last year! But while the need has grown, government funding hasn’t. That means support from community sponsors (like us!) makes a big difference.

From funding vital medical equipment to creating healing spaces like the beautiful Garden of Fond Memories, the Foundation is doing incredible work—and we’re honoured to help.

We encourage our fellow businesses and families in the area to get involved too. Whether it’s donating, volunteering, or showing up for one of HDHF’s awesome events, every bit helps support the people who care for us when we need it most.

We’re thrilled to share that our organization has made a meaningful donation to the Headwaters Health Care Foundation, reinforcing our commitment to enhancing healthcare in our community.

The Headwaters Health Care Foundation plays a pivotal role in funding essential medical equipment and technology for the Headwaters Health Care Centre. Recognizing that nearly 100% of hospital equipment and technology is funded through community support, the Foundation ensures that patients receive the best care with the most advanced tools available.

This year, our sponsorship initiatives are centered around bolstering healthcare services in our communities. By supporting the Foundation, we’re contributing to vital projects like the Smart Headwaters campaign—a transformative $18 million fundraising effort aimed at acquiring a cutting-edge MRI machine and other vital medical technology to elevate patient care within our community.

We believe that investing in local healthcare not only improves patient outcomes but also strengthens the fabric of our community. We’re proud to stand alongside the Headwaters Health Care Foundation in their mission to provide exceptional care close to home.

Together, we’re making a lasting impact on the health and well-being of our community.

We’re all about keeping our communities connected—and that goes far beyond internet and phone lines. We’re proud to be a long-time sponsor and partner of the Centre Wellington Swim to Survive program, an initiative that’s helping local kids build confidence and life-saving skills in the water.

Every year, hundreds of Grade 3 and Grade 7 students across Centre Wellington take part in Swim to Survive lessons. They learn how to roll into deep water, tread for one minute, and swim 50 metres. These might sound like simple steps, but they’re powerful, proven techniques that can truly save lives.

For us, sponsoring this program is more than just a feel-good moment. It’s a commitment to safety, education, and accessibility. Many families in our area don’t have regular access to swimming lessons, so the fact that this program includes transportation and full support for students makes it all the more meaningful.

We want to encourage all families in Centre Wellington to take advantage of this amazing opportunity. If your child is in Grade 3 or Grade 7, be sure to look out for information from your school—and sign them up when the time comes! It’s fun, active, and most importantly, it could one day make all the difference.

From our family to yours, thank you for letting Wightman be a part of something that matters.

Let’s keep making waves—together.
