We’re currently looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our Finance & Accounting team and contribute to the financial health and success of our organization. About the RoleReporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of Wightman. You will help prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and regulatory filings while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical professional who enjoys digging into data and working collaboratively to drive improvements and efficiencies. What You’ll Do Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results. Support the creation of annual operating and capital budgets. Assist in regulatory submissions and related correspondence. Identify and support implementation of cost-saving and revenue-generating initiatives. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Help coordinate external audits and prepare audited financial statements. Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions. Support ERP upgrades and streamline internal reporting processes. Maintain accurate contract and record retention practices. Perform other finance-related duties as needed. What You Bring A university degree or college diploma in Accounting or Business (or equivalent experience). Enrollment in or working towards a CPA designation is an asset. Experience with audit support, financial reporting, and budget preparation. Strong understanding of accounting principles and ERP systems. Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities. Experience in telecom or with regulatory processes is a plus.
